The cinnamon you normally purchase from a store is Cassia or Chinese Cinnamon which has a very high content of the compound Coumarin which is known to cause Liver damage if used in excess.
The Ceylon Cinnamon however is very beneficial with very trace amounts of Coumarin. If you are using cinnamon and Honey for weight loss purposes or as a health supplement, then it’s best to use the Ceylon Cinnamon instead of the Chinese Cinnamon or Cassia.
